SmartFactory have launched our dedicated Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) lab in Nexus Centre University of Limerick.

SmartFactory have launched our dedicated Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) lab in Nexus Centre University of Limerick. SmartFactory focus on creating end to end industrial IIoT software, hardware and services solutions. The Nexus Lab will provide a dedicated space to experience full working demonstrations, review the architecture and test IIoT solutions for practical, real world applications which bring financial benefits while increasing the overall operational efficiency of any organization.

The Lab will be the base for the SmartFactory team to work with customers to create innovative solutions in software, hardware and services in the IIoT market. Our dedicated team of engineers and developers at SmartFactory are based here, carrying out research and development for applications deployed at a local level or for cloud connected operations.

SmartFactory invite existing and potential customers, on-campus research groups and all interested parties to avail of the opportunity to see our full working suite of software applications and hardware solutions.

The SmartFactory Industrial Internet of Things Lab is a campus hub focused on learning, research and hands-on experimentation to discover and demonstrate the promise of the Industrial Internet of Things.

The Internet of Things Lab serves as an exciting multidisciplinary learning and research “sandbox” as well as a thought-leadership and innovation showcase to explore, experience, and extend cutting-edge technologies and use-cases focused around manufacturing 4.0. We are investigating a variety of emerging devices and technologies (involving smart sensing, pervasive connectivity, virtual interfaces and ubiquitous computing), and their potential applications in industrial contexts.

The Internet of Things will transform the way we live, work, and play.

These are some of the demonstrations on display. Visits are by appointment.

Finally I would like to thank our partners and key sponsors Siemens, Turck Banner and Rittal.
